双方停止一切敌对行动。荷方将城堡、大炮、军用物资、商品和现金交给国姓爷。荷兰人可携带一切返回巴达维亚必须使用的食物、工具等物品。荷兰士兵得以扬旗、鸣炮、荷枪、击鼓、列队上船。国姓爷应释放所有荷兰俘虏。东印度公司应释放所有中国人俘虏。2月9日（永历十五年十二月二十一日），2000名荷兰人登上8艘荷兰船舰，等候出航。《热兰遮城日志》记录至这一天为止。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 1662年2月17日，揆一率领卢斯杜南号、唐堡号、安克文号、梅顿号、泰伯特号、纳尔登号、白鹭号和罗南号启程，结束了荷兰在台湾38年的统治。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 郑成功领有台湾之后，建立了台湾第一个汉人政权，也带来一波汉人移民潮。郑成功虽然在攻下台湾的同一年逝世，但继位的郑经与郑克塽持续统治台湾21年，并在陈永华的规划之下，引进中国明制的宫室、庙宇和各种典章制度，奠定了台湾在日后成为一个以汉民族文化为主的社会，而不仅仅是另一个海外华埠。因此有学者形容此役“决定台湾尔后四百年命运”。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 在荷兰东印度公司方面，失去大员这个据点之后，“东南亚—大员（对中国转口）—长崎（日本）”的商路中断，对中国贸易量也急遽减少，损失甚大。荷兰东印度公司数度企图恢复这条航路，因而与清廷联手攻打郑氏。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 1663年清荷联军攻打金门和厦门，此时郑成功已死，郑军领袖为郑经。双方在金门乌沙港交战，郑军落败，先撤往铜山，不久之后全军转往台湾，完全失去在大陆的根据地。但此役之后清廷仅赠送银两与礼物给东印度公司，并未派兵协助攻打台湾。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 1664年8月，东印度公司占领鸡笼。同年11月，荷兰舰队与清靖海将军施琅率领的水师组成联军，准备攻打台湾，但一出海面便遭遇大风浪被迫折回。此后清廷对攻台转趋消极，东印度公司也因为连年军事行动造成财政困难，双方皆不再对台湾采取军事行动。此外，由于清廷厉行海禁，东印度公司在基隆的据点几乎无利可图，维持费用却十分庞大，因此于1668年7月自行放弃撤出。</p><p style='margin-top: 12px;line-height: 1.8;'> 至于大员长官揆一则因为投降而受到审判，被软禁于班达（Banda）群岛，直到1674年家人以25000荷盾将他赎回。1675年他出版《被遗误的福尔摩沙》一书为自己辩护。</p><p style='text-align: center;'><span class="wxart_image"
